To trap the fish, you simply set up your trap where the target fish hangs out. Pull back on bait chum pump and clear the line of air. Burp the bubble trap if air bubbles are in the trap.
Place your fish's favorite food into the bait chum pump and push the bait in. Create a bait chum swirl by pulling and pushing the plunger back and forth. You can also add bait by simply placing it directly into the bubble trap.
When the target fish is in the trap, pull the hand piece away from the tank glass to release the bubble trap. Sometimes you will need to remove the more aggressive fish to get the target fish.
To reset your trap without getting wet simply pull up on the bait line and place your magnetic hand piece against the tank glass and the Bubble Trap will mate with it.

I caught the fish that I wanted to remove from the display on my second try. Less than 24 hours after receiving the trap. Really, I caught him on my first try but he was quick and darted out of the trap before it reached the surface. The second try I was a bit more patient and waited until he was more comfortable in the bubble before pulling the magnet. It's a very well thought out trap, very well constructed, and the customer service is great. The product was recommended to me by a professional peer, and I am happy to recommend it to anyone in need of catching some fish.
