 This triggers the fish natural hunting instincts. Captive pet fish rarely get their hunting instincts triggered due to hand feeding.

Please Note: This model uses the weight of the substrate to secure it to the bottom of the tank, If you have a bare bottom tank and have access to the tank glass underneath the tank purchase the bare bottom model.  It uses a magnet to secure the display to the tank bottom.
